I. What is the booking process like?
For weddings, you'll submit an inquiry & I'll do a happy dance as soon as I receive your inquiry. Then, we'll schedule a call to see if we're a good fit. If the vibe is right, a $1500 non-refundable retainer fee + a signed contract will secure your date and get the ball rolling!
For sessions, I'll send you a link to my booking calendar and you'll select a date. I'll then send over a proposal and a $150 non-refundable retainer fee + a signed contract locks you in so we can begin planning your photos!
II. What happens after we book you for our wedding?
You'll receive my wedding welcome guide full of great tips & my recommendations for favorite industry professionals. If you've chosen to add an engagement session, we'll get that scheduled ASAP & begin planning. 45 days before your wedding you will receive a questionnaire to help me get a feel for the final details of your day. I'll then draft up a day of timeline for your wedding photography and we'll work together to make it perfect. After that? Well, then all we have to do is have a damn good time together on the best day of your life!
III. How many photos can we expect to receive and how will they be delivered?
For 8 hour weddings, my typical galleries have 800-1100 fully edited final images. For hour long sessions, I guarantee 40 fully edited images but typically deliver 70+. All photos are delivered via digital gallery.
IV. We want to include our dog in our session/elopement/wedding photos, is that okay?
Everyone knows I'm a huge animal lover!! I recommend bringing a friend or helper to have on standby to take your pup after they've been in a few shots. I want to keep your pet safe and prefer to not leave them tied up somewhere or left in the car. And of course we'll work together on picking a location that is dog friendly! (p.s. cats, iguanas, fish, etc are all welcome -- we don't discriminate against any pet here!)
V. What is the best location for our photo session?
Locations are extremely seasonal. For beach sessions, I recommend November - April when there are less clouds & beautiful sunsets. For field sessions, I recommend May - November when California is blanketed in the most golden grasses. Wildflowers are dependent on rain but we can try for those late February - mid April. Fall colors peak in late October - mid November.
VI. Do you offer mini sessions?
Mini marathon days are held in the fall & may pop up here and there throughout the year as well. These sessions are typically quick & include a limited number of photos. Perfect for families with one small baby, older teenagers or anyone who just wants quick updated photos.
